What you need to know about CSSs: Changes in Spend Match Incentives

Our previous article on CSSs covered the attractive rebates in CPCs for non-Google partners and that these incentives would most likely be short term.  

Ad credits are currently being provided to merchants after every 30-day period and are based on the percentage a CSS spends on PLAs for a given merchant during that period. This means that if, within the 30-day period, you have a spend between 500 – 2500 euros, you get 20% of this spend credited to your account. This opportunity will continue until the 31st of October.  

As predicted, changes in the rebates awarded have been announced by Google. After November 1st, the percentage of rebate rewarded will be capped at 5% of a partner CSS’s spend on Shopping ads for a given merchant, up to a maximum of $100,000. Read more here. 

This change will run up until the 31st of December, by which time we will find out whether incentives will continue or not. For now, enjoy the incentives, but keep in mind that they will most likely be short-lived.
